OUR STORY

Miracle Woodlands creates experiences using educational messaging, sound and lighting, and strong storytelling to highlight the importance of trees in promoting a sustainable planet.

Using creative arts to inform and inspire richly immersive experiences, our work will focus particularly on the importance of woodlands in combating climate change and helping our ecological systems thrive once more.

Deforestation is at its highest rate in history. By educating people on the intrinsic role trees play in the survival of local habitats, ecosystems & the future of the world , we hope to generate positive change and raise funds for reforestation and woodland conservation projects around Scotland.

Established as a not-for-profit organisation, Miracle Woodlands will hold its inaugural event in Nov/Dec 2021 at Mellerstain House in the Scottish Borders.

Working in collaboration with the Borders Forest Trust during its silver anniversary year, 'Miracle at Mellerstain' aims to raise £25,000 to support the work of restoring southern Scotland's native woodland.

Meet the founders of Miracle Woodlands

Robby Parry, Director/founder

Having spent the last 15 years of my life working in the events and hospitality sector, a sector with a very bad history of waste, single-use and renowned for unsustainability, I have spent the past 5 years seeing what we can do better while still delivering exceptional shows.

Having grown up on the East Coast of Scotland, nature has been close to my heart, and I am noticing more and more each year how badly our ecosystems, weather patterns and forestry are being affected by global warming. Planting trees, offsetting and doing things personally

is not enough at this stage, and I firmly believe that educating on a local level is the way forward, where people can see, feel and be part of the change.

While I still have a lot to learn on the impact we can have as an organisation, I am confident we can create a show which will have a long-lasting emotional and informative impact on all age groups in the area.
